The journal "Reumatología al Día" adheres to the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing and the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI). Our commitment to the integrity and originality of research is reflected in the following policies:
Objectives and Scope
"Reumatología al Día" is dedicated to promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of rheumatology. The journal will publish original articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, clinical cases, and other contributions related to rheumatology and related disciplines.
Editorial Ethics
"Reumatología al Día" is committed to ensuring academic and ethical integrity in all aspects of its operations. Manuscripts involving human subjects must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki or the ethical research standards of the country of origin. For studies involving animal subjects, a statement of compliance with local, national, or institutional ethical standards is required. Written informed consent from patients is required for the use of patient-level data or visual material that cannot be fully de-identified. The journal reserves the right to reject articles if there are ethical concerns according to the opinion of the Editorial Committee.
Plagiarism Policy
Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must avoid all forms of plagiarism, including direct plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, paraphrasing, and self-plagiarism. All submitted articles will be checked using anti-plagiarism tools. Authors will be notified and asked to make necessary corrections if plagiarism is detected. The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts in cases of significant plagiarism and may inform the authors' institutions about detected cases of plagiarism.
Peer Review Process
All articles submitted to "Reumatología al Día" will be reviewed objectively and fairly by at least two reviewers who are experts in the field. Reviewers will evaluate the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the submitted works. Reviewers commit to maintaining the confidentiality of the reviewed works and to providing constructive feedback to authors.
Copyright and Licensing

Artificial Intelligence Policy
The responsible use of generative AI and large language models is permitted to enhance readability and language in the preparation of research for publication.
Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted tools, including details such as the name of the model or tool, date, and purpose of use. Authors are responsible for the content generated by AI and must review it thoroughly before submission.
AI is not allowed to be listed as an author or cited as such in the works. These policies are aligned with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics and are updated as AI technology advances and new information emerges.
This code of ethics is based on the principles of academic integrity, transparency, responsibility, and respect for all those involved in the editorial process of "Reumatología al Día.
